The bodies of nine people (eight men and one woman) were abandoned on a highway in southern Veracruz, along with a message addressed to a state official.
The remains of the nine victims, who were naked and showed obvious signs of torture, appeared on the side of the Cosoleacaque-La Tinaja highway, near the municipality of Ciudad Isla.
Along with the corpses, a message was left to the Secretary of Government, Eric Cisneros Burgos.

They threaten the secretary of Veracruz
The Ministry of Public Security reported that in coordination with federal, state and municipal forces, an operation was deployed to find those responsible for these events.
“These types of actions are due to a reaction to the result of the work to combat crime in the entity,” the agency said in a brief statement.
