Düsseldorf Beyond Meat investors suffered significant losses in the 2021 stock market. The shares of the plant-based meat substitute company plummeted by approximately 50 percent. However, a Schaeffers Research study suggests a potential upswing in January, surprisingly linked to short-sellers who wagered on price declines.

Schaeffers analyst Rocky White’s investigation, detailed in his report, examined the January performance of equities where over ten percent of freely tradable shares were shorted in late December, and which experienced double-digit losses throughout the year. This evaluation encompassed four years of data and 293 stocks.
