Nikon is expanding the professional S lens series for the mirrorless Z system cameras with the NIKKOR Z 85 mm f/1.2 S. In addition to its high speed of 1:1.2, it is characterized by high resolution and perfectly rounded bokeh, according to Nikon and an extremely precise autofocus.
The optical system of the NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S consists of 15 elements in 10 groups (including 1 ED glass lens, 2 aspherical lenses and Nano Crystal Coat lenses). Its multi-focusing system focuses from a distance of 85 cm (measured from the sensor level) through the synchronous movement of two lens groups.
The lens is equipped with an individually assignable L function button (e.g. subject tracking or AF measured value storage) and an AF/MF switch as well as a click-free setting ring for aperture, ISO sensitivity or exposure compensation. The lens, which is sealed once morest dust and moisture, weighs 1160 grams and has an 82 millimeter filter thread.
