Nike has been mocked on social media for its recycled ISPA Mindbody sneakers that look worn out.

The $15 mud sneaker, which is also available in green, launched earlier this year. According to the company’s official website, the shoe is made from recycled yarn and is supposed to be “easy to detach.”

The company describes the shoes as “the new definition of the R&D term for comfort and recreation.” However, social media users compared the pair to something pulled from a landfill. Some users even called the shoes “garbage dumps” and other bad descriptions, according to the website NDTV website.

And on social media, users criticized Nike for the expensive shoes. However, some praised the brand for its design. “One of the most comfortable shoes I’ve owned I definitely recommend,” one user wrote, rating the product “extremely durable” and giving it five stars. Another agreed, “I love these shoes, I can wear them anywhere.” While another warned, “Do not walk wearing these shoes on wet ground. Feet and socks will get wet. Because it has small holes for ventilation in its sole.”

According to Nike, the shoes are light and breathable. The company also said that “the main advantage of this concept is the design with the end of life of the product in mind, which means the shoe can be easily disassembled.” “No glue required. Just one rope system that holds everything together. When you’re done wearing your shoes, there’s no need to take them apart or throw them away. Just drop them off at a Nike store where they can be given new life through donation or recycling.”
