A banal dispute between dog owners turned into a nightmare for a couple on Saturday evening in New York.
The two lovers were walking two pets, when an argument broke out with a stranger in Central Park. The suspect was walking two dogs near 106th Street around 8:30 p.m., according to the “New York Post.”
The man suddenly pulled out a knife, before savagely stabbing the couple’s dog, a female Pitbull-German Shepherd cross.
According to the statement to the police from the owner of the animal, a 43-year-old woman, her husband quickly transported the animal to the veterinarian. The dog was euthanized. The suspect fled on foot. The police had still not found him as of Sunday morning.
