They work by starlight or neon lights, depending. All this week, “Le Temps” takes you to meet those who live offbeat, invisible to the eyes of most of the country. To follow them until the end of the night.
Our previous episodes:
It is 10:30 p.m., Wednesday evening in Geneva, and the Rues-Basses are almost deserted. The windows light up sidewalks where no one strolls and the buzz of shopping has given way to silence. The solitary walker is far from suspecting that a few steps away, behind a heavy door rue de la Rôtisserie, the party has only just begun – or rather, it is getting ready. La Garçonnière, a mythical transformist cabaret at the end of the lake, opens in half an hour and David Chassaing is at the foundation stage. It is in the dressing rooms, in front of a mirror circled with LEDs, that we meet the artist. In full moult to become its double, Lola Vegas.
