Asuncion, IP Agency.- With a total of 325,526 consultations carried out since their implementation in 35 hospitals of the Ministry of Public Health, the night clinics ensure access to healthcare for citizens who cannot attend the morning and afternoon shifts.
This service is available from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in 35 hospitals and is of utmost importance as it helps to relieve congestion in emergency areas.
This is a strategy implemented by the Ministry of Public Health that facilitated access to medical services for the population with 325,526 consultations, almost a year after its implementation.
The Ministry of Health recommends that users of the public health system take advantage of these night clinics for both periodic check-ups and in cases of symptoms of illness. The availability of specialists during these extended hours seeks to guarantee quality medical care.
Specialties offered during extended hours include pediatrics, gynecology, cardiology, dentistry, internal medicine and surgery. Reducing waiting times and optimizing care for cases requiring immediate attention are other objectives of the strategy, according to the health ministry.
