Night classes between friends:
In a nightclub two friends are talking. The great experiences of life, the great loves, the fights, the fear of death. Everything is laid out on the table among drinks, gardenias and cigarettes. In some relationships there are no secrets. But darkness? Is there darkness in male friendships? The search for happiness, our ridiculousness and what our Greek families burden us with. PASOK, the epic of Gilgamesh and the bones of the dead. How real is the truth? Are there lies between close friends? Stamatis Kokotas, Rita Sakelariou and Stratos Dionysiou. Betrayal, existentialism and a very specific bouquet of white cyclamen. After all, how well do you know the person you tell everything to? And all these women from the past, what are they doing in this particular shop on this particular night? A comedy full of dalkas and twists about the night and its stories.
A show full of laughter and emotion set in a night entertainment environment against the background of the atmosphere and music of the eighties. And even with the act theater renewed, with new comfortable seats and small tables, in a completely unique configuration that will surprise and remind something of the boutiques that thrived on the Gerokostopoulou Stairs.
The show is not suitable for minors. Spectators are allowed to drink alcohol at the show. For the needs of the show, the actors smoke on stage.
The show is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
The book with the text of the work is published by Sokolis publications.

**Interview with Telemachos Tsardakas, Playwright of “Night Lessons”**
**Editor:** Thank you for joining us today, Telemachos. “Night Lessons” has seen tremendous success at the act-turned-nightclub theater. Can you share what inspired you to write this particular play?
**Telemachos Tsardakas:** Thank you for having me! The inspiration for “Night Lessons” came from my fascination with male friendships and the complexities that lie beneath the surface. I wanted to explore the themes of vulnerability, existential thought, and the often unspoken truths that exist between friends. It’s a reflection of life, love, and the absurdities we face—presented with humor, of course.
**Editor:** The play is described as a comedy about male friendship, but it also delves into deeper themes. How do you balance those moments of laughter with the more serious undertones?
**Telemachos Tsardakas:** That’s a great question. Comedy is a wonderful vehicle for addressing serious topics. In “Night Lessons,” the humor often emerges from the discomfort of the characters when facing their fears and existential questions. The laughter creates a connection with the audience, allowing them to engage with the heavier themes without it feeling too burdened or melancholic. It’s all about finding that rhythm between light and shadow.
**Editor:** The setting—a nightclub—adds a unique atmosphere to the play. How does this setting influence the narrative?
**Telemachos Tsardakas:** The nightclub setting is essential because it embodies the ideas of nightlife, revelry, and intimacy. It’s a place where people often let their guard down and share their truths over drinks and music. The energy of the ’80s, complete with its nostalgia, enhances the characters’ experiences and makes for a lively backdrop against which their stories unfold. It allows for both comedic moments and profound reflections.
**Editor:** You’re planning the final performances for “Night Lessons.” What do you hope audiences will take away from their experience watching the play?
**Telemachos Tsardakas:** More than anything, I want audiences to leave feeling a sense of connection, both to the characters and to each other. Friendships, with all their complexities, are a vital part of life, and I hope people reflect on their own relationships. I also hope they leave with a smile and perhaps a deeper understanding of how joy and pain coexist in our connections with others.
**Editor:** Thank you, Telemachos. We look forward to the final performances.
**Telemachos Tsardakas:** Thank you! I hope to see everyone there for these last six nights. It’s been a remarkable journey, and I can’t wait to share it with more theater-goers!
