During the night from Saturday to Sunday, an accident occurred in the territory of Sanssac-l’Eglise, on the RD590, a departmental road between Bains and Espaly.
It was 4:20 a.m. when emergency services were alerted. A car had swerved. In the loss of control, the vehicle hit an embankment. The driver and front passenger, both 18 years old, were slightly injured. A third 18-year-old was in the back seat but he was not wearing a seat belt.
He was seriously injured. The firefighters and the SAMU requested the intervention of the helicopter which transported the victim by air to Saint-Etienne.
As for the driver, a blood test had to be taken at the hospital following a positive alcohol test.
