(Ecofin Agency) – Many technological innovations are born in Africa. This increases the demand for professionals, including those in the data field. To develop their skills, the Nigerian company Bluechip Technologies has just opened a specialized academy.
Bluechip Technologies, a Nigerian provider of enterprise application and data management solutions, has opened applications through its academy, Primo Academy. This is a free six-month training that helps participants embark on a career in the data and emerging technologies industry.
“Over the years, we have found it extremely beneficial to train newcomers to the technology industry through our own business intelligence training program, which takes graduates through a comprehensive development process in a wide range of areas related to our activity. That’s why we’re excited to offer this proven approach by launching our own academy for data professionals.”said Bluechip Technologies co-founder and CEO Kazeem Tewogbade.
The program, which will start next Monday, August 1, is aimed at beginners and professionals, with or without technological experience and living in Africa. Participants must have their own laptop or PC with internet access.
The training will take place entirely remotely and on a full-time basis. It will focus on the applications of data science and analytics, as well as soft skills and business processes. It covers modules such as introduction to data analysis with Excel, SQL and Python, data engineering with big data technologies, data science and machine learning, and data visualization with PowerBi. and automation with power platforms.
Graduates will have the opportunity to work with Bluechip’s engineering team, and will receive support in finding opportunities with partner companies in Africa and internationally.
Primo Academy seeks to fill the data and technology talent gap in Africa. Africa’s tech ecosystem has grown exponentially in recent years, and growth is expected to accelerate over the next decade. With the development of more technological innovations on the continent, the demand for experienced engineers will continue to increase.
Applications to participate in the training continue until Friday, July 22, and successful candidates will be notified on Wednesday, July 27.
