The Edmonton Oilers and were hoping for a similar sense of achievement Leon Draisaitl in vain: The 1:3 once morest the Montreal Canadiens was already the third defeat in the fourth game. The Buffalo Sabers delivered an impressive performance, beating the Philadelphia Flyers 6-1.

Nashville Predators – Carolina Hurricanes 2:4
The Carolina Hurricanes celebrated their second win of the season. After the first third remained goalless, the game picked up speed from the second third. Andrei Svechnikov gave the Hurricanes a 1-0 lead in the 37th minute. Just 46 seconds later equalized Filip Forsberg however off.
The last part of the game became a veritable offensive firework display. playmaker Vincent Trocheck scored in the 44th minute to make it 2-1 for Carolina. Raised in the 51st minute Sebastian Oh to 3:1. However, the Predators didn’t give up and used the power play to get through Viktor Arvidsson to get back to 2:3 in the 54th minute.
In the last minute of the game, when the Predators had taken their goalkeeper out of the game, the Swiss made it Nino Niederreiter perfect victory from the blue line. Overall, the Predators had more offensive action with 33 to 24 shots on goal, but proved to be not as effective as the Hurricanes.

Leon Draisaitls and the Edmonton Oilers conceded their third loss of the season. Alexander Romanov gave the guests the lead in the tenth minute. Shea Weber increased to 2-0 in the 40th minute. Artturi Lehkonen made the preliminary decision with the third goal in the 53rd minute. For the Oilers only scored Devin Shore (58.).

Detroit Red Wings – Columbus Blue Jackets 2:3
The Columbus Blue Jackets celebrated their first win of the season. Bobby Ryan had put Detroit (7th) in the lead. Oliver Bjorkstrand (36.) equalized in the second half of the game. In the last third, the Blue Jackets once more proved to be more effective. Alexandre Texier (46.) and Pierre-Luc Dubois (47′) gave Columbus the lead. Ryan’s goal came just under a minute before the end of the game. The German goalkeeper Thomas Greiss parried 23 of the 26 shots.
Philadelphia Flyers – Buffalo Sabres 1:6
The Buffalo Sabers set a real exclamation point with their first win of the season and literally rolled over the Flyers 6-1 at their Wells Fargo Center. The scorers were twice each Curtis Lazar (16th, 29th) and Sam Reinhart (24th, 27th) and Henri Jokihar (51.) and Victor Olofsson (59th). Austria’s Michael Raffl assisted the Flyers’ only goal Nicolas Aube-Kubel (58.).
Anaheim Ducks – Minnesota Wild 1:0
The Anaheim Ducks celebrated their first win of the season in a defensive game. The decisive goal came in the 45th minute Nicolas Deslauriers. Ducks goalie John Gibson celebrated a shutout with 34 saves.
Vegas Golden Knights – Arizona Coyotes 4:2
The Vegas Golden Knights continued their winning streak, celebrating their third win in three games. Arizona got through with the gates Tyler Pitlick (9.) and Nick Schmaltz (30th) the better start. Then, however, the Golden Knights turned the game around Max Pacioretty (38th), twice Reilly Smith (45th, 60th) and Chandler Stephenson (49.).

St. Louis Blues – San Jose Sharks 5:4
The most spectacular game of the game day was delivered by the St. Louis Blues and the San Jose Sharks. Scored twice for the Blues Justin Faulk (23., 39.), Mike Hoffmann (25.), Brayden Schenn (35th) and finally Jordan Kyrou (51st). The Sharks’ goals came from Kevin Labanc (12th), twice Logan Couture (15th, 45th) and Brent Burns (33.).
New York Islanders – Boston Bruins 1:0
In a defensively dominated game in which the Bruins had 27 shots on goal and the Islanders just 17, New York came out on top. Scored in the 46th minute Jean-Gabriel Pageau the winning goal.
Toronto Maple Leafes – Winnipeg Jets 3:1
Mitchell Marner was the big match winner for the Toronto Maple Leafs with his two goals (39th, 60th). First had John Tavares (26.) put the Maple Leafs ahead before Marner extended it to 2-0. Brought in the last minute of the second third Kyle Connor the Jets closed to within a goal. However, 23 seconds before the end of the game, Marner made it 3-1 for the Maple Leafs to win.

Calgary Flames – Vancouver Canucks 5:2
Jake Virtanen had put the Canucks ahead in the 11th minute of the game. In the second half of the game, however, the Flames went crazy Johnny Gaudreau (13.), Mikael Backlund (14.) and Elias Lindholm (40th) on. In the last third made Mark Giordano (47.) and Rasmus Andersson (60th) perfect victory. The gate of Tyler Myers (54th) for Toronto no longer had any influence.
