The two actors attended the Sept. 30 Paris Fashion Week event — and things got a little tense as they posed for paparazzi photos.

A photographer asks Nicole and Salma to pose together for a photo. But Nicole makes a few more pointed comments at Salma while gesturing at her before she starts walking away.
Salma looks a bit flustered and for some reason says “Yes please” to Nicole. He then poses for the cameras with Katy Perry instead of Nicole, who has already left the area.
The incident, which has since sparked widespread speculation, shows Nicole rejecting Salma’s attempt to pose for photos together.
The Big Little Lies actress, 57, and star Frieda, 58, were standing next to pop star Katy Perry when Salma turned to Nicole, appearing to adjust her pose for more photos.
Nicole, however, appeared to be fed up with the photo shoot, swatting Salma’s hand away before saying goodbye to Katie and leaving. The moment, captured by photographers, led to whispers of tension between the two leading actors.
While the apparent exchange left many fans concerned, Salma was quick to quash rumors of bad blood.
The Mexican actress took to social media shortly after the event, sharing a photo from the night in which she tagged Nicole, along with a heartfelt caption praising the performance.
“Finally last night the grand finale of Paris Fashion Week 2025… Balenciaga and Demna for a great show,” Salma wrote, adding Nicole’s handle in a clear message that all was well between the pair.
Nicole, who attended the fashion show in a chic black high-neck bodycon dress with sheer tights and stilettos, made her first public appearance since the death of her mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, earlier this year.
The loss of her mother, who died aged 84, was undoubtedly an emotional time for the actress.
While she looked ready on the red carpet, the pressures of the event – and the added weight of her personal grief – may have affected her behavior on the night.
A witness claimed Nicole told Salma firmly: “Don’t touch me.” The viewer also claimed that Ms Perry had appeared “embarrassed”.
After pushing her hand away, Nicole turned her back before turning back to face Salma and gesturing to her, including what appeared to be a signal to stop. She also pointed her finger.
Nicole, who won the Oscar for Best Actress for The Hours in 2003 – the same year Hayek was nominated against her for Frida – appeared to be exchanging more words with Ms Kidman off set.
