Nicolás Maduro: “Anyone who wants to engage in dialogue, work and envision a much better future: Welcome.”

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, said this Monday, August 19, that peace can only be built through dialogue among Venezuelans. “Welcome to everyone who wants to talk, work and envision a much better future.”

He expressed his joy because “things are on track and peace is triumphant” while hatred is receding in the face of a reality in which “love is advancing and Venezuelans continue to integrate, thinking about the future.”

“We are calling for permanent consultation, because the objective is to build a new system of government, so we have to advance in the processes for the development of the constitutional vision of the new democracy, to overcome bureaucratic government systems,” the president stressed during his Monday television program.

He also said that “a new democracy cannot be built with outdated methods,” which is why he called for a change of mentality and vision.
He also stressed that the way for public resources to meet social needs is through direct democracy:

“We must overcome false democracy, move from participatory democracy to direct democracy. That is the way, that the nation’s resources go to resolve the needs of the people directly. We are on the right path,” he said in reference to the communal exercise.
