It was in Neuchâtel that the Banque cantonale de Genève (BCGE) found its future managing director. At Credit Suisse, where Nicolas Krügel had been Chief Credit Officer in the Swiss division since 2018. The banker, who will take office in March 2024, rose through the ranks within the country’s former second bank, which he joined in November 1996. His career took him to Lausanne, New York and Zurich, still in the area of credit. In a statement released late Tuesday afternoon, BCGE underlines the prolonged exposure of its future boss to all segments of a universal bank and his trilingualism.
