The news of the death of Elvis Presley’s daughter, Lisa Marie Presley shocked the world. Including her third ex-husband Nicolas Cage who did not expect the death of Lisa Marie.
Nicolas, who married Lisa Marie in 2002, recalled his ex-wife’s cheerful personality. The 59-year-old actor also admitted that he was heartbroken by the sad news.
“This is devastating news. Lisa has the greatest laugh I’ve ever met,” Nicolas Cage said on his social media.
“She has brightened every moment, and I am heartbroken. I take comfort in believing that she is reunited with her son, Benjamin,” she added.
Lisa Marie Presley died on Thursday (12/1/2023) following a heart attack at her home in Calabasas, California, USA. Lisa was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and was said to be in a coma following a total cardiac arrest following she complained of stomach pains.
Lisa died at the age of 54 and was survived by her three children. Previously, Lisa had been married four times. Her first husband was Denny Kough with whom she was married from 1988 to 1994. She then married Michael Jackson in 1994 and divorced two years later.
Nicolas Cage is her third husband, who divorced in 2004. In 2006 she married Michael Lockwood, and divorced in 2016.
Lisa Marie’s mother, Priscilla Presley, who was by her daughter’s side when she passed away, gave a touching statement.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She is the most strong and passionate woman I have ever known. We ask for our privacy as we try to deal with our profound loss. Thank you for your love and prayers. At this time we will have no further comments,” said Priscilla.
