Backstreet boys star Nick Carter is the main act at this weekend’s 90s festival at Gärdet in Stockholm. And it’s far from the first time he’s been on stage here – and he made that clear to the audience when he made his entrance on Saturday night.
– Thanks to all of you who came tonight! It feels good to be home, said the legendary boy band artist.
– This is where it all started…
Nick Carter refers to the Backstreet Boys recording their first hits as a group in the Cheiron studio together with songwriting giants Denniz Pop and Max Martin.
Nick Carter tears off a few songs to the crowd’s cheers and finishes with a phrase in Swedish.
– Thank you very much, he says to the fans who are trying to stay dry from the rain.
– Without Stockholm, there would have been no Backstreet Boys, states the star.
The promise to the Swedes: Backstreet boys to Sweden
As the game began to suffer towards its end, Nick Carter made a promise to the Swedes. A promise that Backstreet boys will perform in Sweden.
– If you want to receive me here once more, I will bring back the Backstreet boys once more, he says and is met with cheers.
