The FSGT 06 is organizing this Sunday, like every year, the Christmas swim in the City of Nice. It’s number 77e edition which will take place tomorrow on Ruhl beach, on the Promenade des Anglais, from 10:30 a.m.
The event will begin with two parades: that of the pointus, these traditional fishermen’s boats, led by the boatmen of the La Mouette association and that of the kayaks of the Club de la mer.
At 10:45 a.m., the cheerleaders and the Floriane Dance company will continue to set the mood before the start of a 150m swimming race at 11:15 a.m. At 11:45 a.m., it will be time for all the brave to jump into the water of the Bay of Angels.
Santa Claus arrives by boat in Villeneuve-Loubet
On the Villeneuve-Loubet side, this Sunday also, the nautical festivities start at 9:30 a.m. for registrations for those who want to participate in this refreshing morning on Fighière beach.
Between 10 and 11 a.m., the official municipal festival committee, which organizes the event, offers a demonstration of rescue dogs, while the ESVL Muscu Gym will conduct a warm-up at 10:30 a.m.
Because at 11 a.m., everyone is in the water for the Christmas bath while Santa Claus will come to greet the bathers, arriving on the boat of the SNSM, the association of sea rescuers.
From 11:30 a.m., valiant swimmers will be able to regain their strength over a good mulled wine offered by the Committee before the presentation of participation diplomas at 12 p.m.
Villefranche: momentum before the plunge
In the harbor of Villefranche-sur-Mer, the municipality is organizing the 19e edition of the Mounta Cala race departing from Marinières beach at 8:30 a.m.
Enough to warm up, if you wish, before the traditional Christmas bath which will take place, on the same shore from 11:30 a.m., again this Sunday.
From 12 p.m., mulled wine will also be offered accompanied by tunes played by the Villefranche brass band.
