The New Jersey Devils lost 2-1 aet at home to the Minnesota Wild. The Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the Washington Capitals 7-6 aet away

Both goals in regulation time came in the final third. In the 47th minute, Mason Shaw scored to give Minnesota the lead, six minutes later the disc came via Nico Hischier to Timo Meier, who scored the Buebetrickli to make it 1-1, his 35th goal of the season. Within 118 seconds, Adam Boqvist and Emil Bemström equalized to make it 5:5 by the 49th minute, Nick Jensen scored to give Washington the lead once more following 56 minutes, before Boone Jenner equalized 6:6 47 seconds before the end when Columbus played without a goalkeeper .

Tim Berni received 14:40 ice time, shot four times on goal, blocked a shot and ended the game with a plus – 1 – record.
