Pregame

Follow the game between the Ducks and the Canadiens on RDS and RDS.ca from 7 p.m. Hockey 360 will ensure the pre-game at 6:15 p.m.

Barely 24 hours following suffering a 3-2 loss to the Ottawa Senatorsthem Montreal Canadiens will try to bounce back as Martin St-Louis’ men receive the Anaheim Ducks at the Bell Center.

The opportunity will be perfect for the Canadian to find the way to victory since the Ducks occupy the last rank of the Bettman circuit this season. Worse still, the team has only won one game in regulation time this season following the first 30 games.

Anaheim has lost its last three games, allowing a total of 16 goals, and the team has been shut out in each of its last two meetings.

In addition to the return of Jake Allen in goal, Martin St-Louis will make only one change to his lineup as Rem Pitlick takes the place of Michael Pezzetta. He will play to the left of Jonathan Drouin on the fourth line.

During his pre-game press conference, St-Louis returned to his mood swings the day before, following his team’s loss to the Senators.

“The last two games, 5 once morest 5, are two of our best games of the year. I like our numerical disadvantage, but we take too many penalties. There are circumstances in games sometimes that challenge your emotions and yesterday was that,” explained St-Louis, who seemed in a much better mood.

The Ducks are expected to rely on Lukas Dostal in net because of John Gibson’s injury in Tuesday’s loss in Toronto. Anthony Stolarz was already on the sidelines due to injury. Dostal’s assistant would be Olle Eriksson Ek, who was recalled from San Diego in the American League.

At the Canadiens, the team begins a short streak of two games at home, before leaving Quebec for a seven-game trip that will end on January 3 in Nashville. The CH will face the Lightning in Montreal on Saturday, before flying to Arizona.

The Canadiens players did not hit the ice during the day.
