Eight Swiss players are in action in the NHL on Friday night. Only Kevin Fiala, who contributed two assists to the Los Angeles Kings’ victory, is successful.
Los Angeles made up for a 2-0 deficit against the Boston Bruins in the last third with a double from Adrian Kempe. Fiala does the preparatory work for both goals. The eastern Swiss has 25 assists (and 9 goals) after 33 games. He wasn’t successful in the penalty shoot-out, but after a total of 14 attempts the Kings got the extra point.
Fiala is the only Swiss to win with his team. The New Jersey Devils with Captain Nico Hischier and defenseman Jonas Siegenthaler got into a bit of a crisis. The leader of the Metropolitan Division, who has so far been surprisingly positive, loses for the fourth time in a row in a 2-1 loss to Philadelphia.
