Murray partially saves his team from a bigger defeat.

Senators once more without scoring

Ottawa then tries hard and creates opportunities in the middle third. However, the Canadians did not get more than a shot into the crossbar. In the final third, the Senators are even lucky once more following a goal by Anton Blidh was denied following studying the video. The Bruins still manage to win over time. Goalie Jeremy Swayman saves all 28 shots on goal.

It’s the second game in a row (following the 2-0 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins) for Ottawa that they haven’t scored a goal of their own. The team is only sixth in the Atlantic Division and has little chance of making the playoffs. The situation is very different for the Boston Bruins, who are fourth in the division and are fighting for a place in the post-season.
