NHL: a magnificent goal from Kevin Fiala, two points for Timo Meier – rts.ch

Kevin Fiala was the only Swiss winner last night in the NHL. The St. Gallen scored in Los Angeles’ 4-1 win over Anaheim. Timo Meier had a goal and an assist with San Jose.

The Kings picked up a 3rd straight success to consolidate their 2nd place in the Pacific Division. Kevin Fiala signed the 4-1, his 10th goal of the season, from the backhand at the end of a superb movement (51st). His performance was rewarded with the 2nd star.

With 35 points, Kevin Fiala remains the best Swiss scorer in the NHL. He is 3 lengths ahead of Timo Meier. The Appenzeller scored a goal and provided an assist in San Jose’s 7-3 home loss to Calgary to also pick up the 2nd star. Note that Timo Meier and his teammates were down 2-0 following only… 30 seconds of play.

New Jersey n’y arrive plus

In the East, New Jersey conceded a 6th consecutive defeat and gives up 1st place in the Metropolitan Division. The Devils lost 4-1 in Raleigh to Carolina. Dumb, Nico Hischier and Jonas Siegenthaler lived a very frustrating evening since the Devils sent 40 shots towards the opposing cage once morest only 20 for Carolina.
