(PLO)-During the opening ceremony of Ngoc Linh ginseng market, the ginseng root that won the first prize was successfully auctioned for VND 250 million.
On the evening of February 6, at the center of Tu Mo Rong district, the People’s Committee of Tu Mo Rong district (Kon Tum) solemnly held the opening ceremony of “The market session of Ngoc Linh ginseng and other medicinal herbs associated with tourism”.
Attending the opening ceremony, the representative of the Central Committee was Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan, the local side was Mr. Duong Van Trang, Secretary of the Kon Tum Provincial Party Committee.

During the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced the first and second prizes of Ngoc Linh ginseng competition (the contest had 7 participating units, with 22 samples of ginseng). Accordingly, the ginseng sample of Ngoc Linh Kon Tum Ginseng Joint Stock Company won the first prize with a weight of 250 grams, 20 years old; The second prize belongs to the ginseng sample of Dak Vien Women’s Community Cooperative, Te Xang commune, weighing 200 grams.

The lucky person who auctioned the ginseng root won the first prize, Mr. Wei Hoang Tay (Quang Nam) with the price of 250 million VND, the starting price of 180 million VND was successfully closed following many attractive chases.
