Green Bay Packers linebacker Quay Walker apologized via his Twitter account on Monday following shoving a member of the Detroit Lions medical team during the previous day’s clash between the two teams.
The Lions won the game by a score of 20–16, robbing the Packers of a playoff berth.
Walker was kicked out of the game in the fourth quarter following pushing a member of the Lions medical team who was applying treatment to running back D’Andre Swift on the field.
The Packers rookie received an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on the streak and was ejected from the game followingwards. It was the second time this season that Walker received a game penalty for this reason. Last October, he got in touch with a Buffalo Bills staffer.
I want to apologize publicly regarding what happened Sunday night. I reacted off of my emotions once more and take full responsibility of making another stupid decision. Since then I’ve questioned myself on why did I do what I did when the trainer was doing his job!! I was wrong!!

“I want to publicly apologize for what happened Sunday night,” Walker wrote. I once more reacted with my emotions and I take full blame for making another stupid decision. I wonder why did I react like this when this man was just doing his job!! I was wrong!!
“I understand that I now have to face all the consequences that come with my gesture. »
Walker is the only player since 2000 to be kicked out of a game more than once in the same season.
