For the second straight week, a Mississippi State standout led the entire NFL in a Pro Football Focus (PFF) category.
A week following Dak Prescott graded out as the top quarterback, former first-round draft pick Charles Cross earned the top pass-blocking grade among all offensive linemen in the league at 90.7. Cross did not allow a sack or a single pressure in 42 passing downs by the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11.
Fellow tackle Tyre Phillips earned the No. 2 pass blocking grade for the New York Giants offensive line last Sunday while Elgton Jenkins of the Green Bay Packers holds the seventh-best pass-blocking grade among offensive guards in the NFL this season.
Prescott threw two more touchdown passes in the Dallas Cowboys’ win to bring his yearly total to 19. The two-time Pro Bowler and 2022 Walter Payton Man of the Year tops all NFL signal callers with an 89.4 offensive grade this season and held the No. 2 passing grade and third-best offensive grade among quarterbacks in Week 11.
Jeffery Simmons saw action on both sides of the ball. Simmons secured the top run-defensive grade on the Tennessee Titans on Sunday and had a tackle for loss while also playing fullback and catching his first career touchdown on a 2-yard pass.
Chris Jones made his presence felt on Monday Night Football and finished with four tackles for loss and a pair of sacks. Jones earned the second-best pressure grade for Kansas City in Week 11 and holds the No. 8 pressure grade in the NFL among interior defensive lineman for the season. The four-time Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl Champion now has 7 ½ sacks on the season and 72 ½ for his career.
Montez Sweat made his first sack as a Chicago Bear on Sunday and also has 7 ½ on the year. Sweat also ranks sixth among edge rushers in the NFL in run defense. Denico Autry and Willie Gay Jr. also provided tackles for loss in Week 11 for the Titans and Chiefs respectively with Autry earning Tennessee’s third-highest defensive grade.
Martin Emerson’s five tackles were the third-most on Cleveland’s defense and graded out at No. 1 in tackling, No. 2 in run defense and No. 3 in overall defensive grade on the Browns this past weekend.
Emmanuel Forbes and Darius Slay finished second in coverage grades for Washington and Philadelphia while Preston Smith took home the third-highest tackling grade on the Packers in Week 11.
