The Minnesota Vikings have acquired quarterback Nick Mullens in a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders. The team made the announcement on Twitter.

In return, the Raiders receive a conditional seventh-round pick for the 2024 draft. The trade will not be completed until Mullens passes physical tests.

In five years in the NFL, the Southern Miss product is already in his fifth roster. He had donned the uniform of the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns before landing in Sin City.

Mullens will therefore be rookie head coach Kevin O’Connell’s second choice at quarterback, behind Kirk Cousins.

The Vikings will begin their season once morest their division rivals, the Green Bay Packers on September 11 at home at US Bank Stadium.

The Cards add depth to their offensive line

The Buffalo Bills traded guard Cody Ford to the Arizona Cardinals for a 2023 fifth-round pick.

The 25-year-old Ford was the Bills’ second-round pick in 2019. In three seasons at Buffalo, he started in 29 games.

In Arizona, Ford joins former University of Oklahoma Sooners teammate Kyler Murray. The two players have evolved together for a season.
