The NFL has become increasingly popular in Germany in recent years. No wonder that more and more people want to watch the league games on TV or live streams for free.
But that’s not so easy in Germany, because not all NFL matches are shown on TV and live streams for free in the Federal Republic. For the 2023/24 season there was also a change in the broadcasters. Here we tell you where you can watch NFL games on TV and live streams in the current 2024/25 season.
NFL on TV and live stream: Big changes
Anyone who wanted to watch the NFL for free on TV and live stream in Germany could find what they were looking for until 2ß23/24 on ProSieben, ProSieben Maxx or in the live stream on Joyn or ran. The streaming platform DAZN also offered some games and a conference.

But for the 2023/24 NFL season, the TV landscape regarding the NFL in Germany was turned upside down. ProSieben lost all broadcasting rights. RTL has taken the place of the broadcasting group.

According to the broadcaster, up to three games per week will be broadcast live on free TV on RTL or Nitro. Nitro starts broadcasting in the preseason. In addition to the offer on free TV, the games are also live streamed on RTL+ and there is also an exclusive game on the streaming platform. However, RTL+ is subject to a fee.

In addition to RTL’s offerings, there are also two other ways to watch the NFL live stream in Germany. DAZN, the paid streaming platform, broadcasts all NFL night games early on Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings German time. There is also the “RedZone” conference, in which the games run on Sundays from 7 p.m. German time with English commentary, and the ENDZN, which has the same games with German commentary in its program. There are also two exclusive games on DAZN on Sunday with kickoff times at 7 p.m. and 10:25 p.m.

- Monday, 2:20 a.m.: Baltimore Ravens – Buffalo Bills, DAZN
- Tuesday, 1:30 a.m.: Miami Dolphins – Tennessee Titans, DAZN
If you really want to watch all NFL games in Germany in a live stream, you will still have to use Gamepass. Here users get all the individual games with English commentary and other offers such as the “Redzone”. This now also has to be broadcast via DAZN in Germany
