NFL: Former professional Gosder Cherilus causes peeing scandal on airplane – apology via Twitter

Scandal surrounding ex-NFL star Gosder Cherilus! The former right tackle of the Detroit Lions, the Indianapolis Colts and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers caused a plane to turn around due to his behavior and he himself was arrested.

What has gotten into Gosder Cherilus? According to US media, the former NFL professional began urinating on another passenger shortly after a plane took off from Boston.

Due to his scandalous behavior, the now 40-year-old, who played for the Detroit Lions, the Indianapolis Colts and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, forced the plane to turn around, even though it was actually on its way to Dublin.

After landing in Boston again, the ex-professional was met by police officers, but was extremely uncooperative and was subsequently arrested.

“Delta flight 154 from Boston to Dublin on August 17 was forced to return to Boston Logan due to an unruly passenger,” Delta Airlines said in a statement about the incident.

Shortly afterwards, the former NFL star responded on Twitter. “The flight was delayed by four hours and did not take off until 12:30 a.m. Because of the night flight, I took medication that I do not normally take. This caused behavior that does not reflect my character and therefore I would like to apologize to the passengers and flight attendants,” said the 40-year-old.

Cherilus was once considered one of the NFL’s most promising talents and became the league’s highest-paid right tackle in 2013 after signing a five-year contract with the Lions, earning $35 million.
