NFL: Dallas Cowboys arms themselves with everything and signed a double Super Bowl champion

The 25 year old runner Ronald Jones, who won Super Bowl LV with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and LVII with the Kansas City Chiefs, is a new Cowboys player.the Dallas club announced on Tuesday, ahead of the next NFL season.

The arrival of Jones, who signed for one season, comes following the Cowboys released Ezekiel Elliott, the third-leading running back in franchise history.

Jones, a former star of the USC Trojans of college football, arrives in Dallas following playing four years with the Buccaneers, in which he won a championship ring with Tom Brady, and a campaign in Kansas City, in which he added his second ring under the leadership of Patrick Mahomes.

In his five-year career, he has accumulated 505 carries for 2,244 yards and 19 touchdowns.

The Fort Stewart, Georgia native arrives to bolster the running game as he will compete with Tony Pollard, Malik Davis and Rico Dowdle for leading running back.

Also this Tuesday, the Cowboys announced the one-year contract extension of Dante Fowler, quarterback hunter, who in 2022 had six sacks.

In other free agency moves, the Houston Texans signed offensive lineman Michael Detier, who played for the Miami Dolphins in 2022; and former Carolina Panthers linebacker Cory Littleton to one-season contracts.

The Texans rocked the market on Monday with the additions of tight end Dalton Schultz and running back Devin Singletary.

This Tuesday Jon Feliciano signed a one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers. Feliciano started 17 games at center for the New York Giants last season, including two ‘playoffs’.

Defensive safety Johnathan Abram, who was in Seattle, will reinforce the New Orleans Saints starting this year.

Isaiah McKenzie, a 27-year-old wideout, left the Buffalo Bills and will play for the Indianapolis Colts in the 2023 season.

In Arizona, the Cardinals agreed to a season with former Seahawks defensive lineman Lawrence Collier and former Tennessee Titans offensive tackle Dennis Daley. He also extended cornerback Antonio Hamilton’s contract by one year.

Linebacker Dont’a Hightower, Super Bowl champion in its XLIX, LI and LIII editions with the New England Patriots, announced his retirement at age 33 following 11 seasons with that team.
