Ramon Menzies, the interim coach of the Brazil national football team, decided not to include Neymar and Alisson Becker in the squad for the international friendly match once morest Morocco in Tangiers on March 25.
The match is the first for the Brazil national team since its exit from the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup at the hands of the Croatian national team last December.
Neymar was injured during a Ligue 1 match last month.
Menzies, who coaches the Brazil under-20 national team, did not elaborate on why goalkeeper Alisson Becker was not in the squad, but said he wanted to give opportunities to new players.
Menzies called up several players from the under-20 national team, which he led to the South American Championship in February.
The Brazilian Football Confederation continues to search for a permanent technical director for the Samba team, to replace Tite, who left the position following losing to the Croatian national team.
And the president of the federation, Ednaldo Rodriguez, denied last February that he had held negotiations with Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, to take over the job.
