Thanks to a late double from “joker” Wilfried Eza (75th, 95th), the Innviertel team beat FC Liefering 2-0 (0-0) on Saturday. Coach Maximilian Senft’s team, which has not conceded a goal in nine competitive matches, is now level on points with Kapfenberger SV (8-2) with a goal difference of 8-0.
Eza was substituted in the 70th minute and shot over the bar two minutes later from a promising position. A little later, the striker from the Ivory Coast remained ice-cold in front of goal, and in injury time the 27-year-old scored the decisive goal from a suspected offside position. Ried goalkeeper Andreas Leitner had previously held on to the lead with a brilliant save (92nd).
