“While expanding the Enefit Volt network, we are constantly looking for the most convenient places for electric car drivers and opportunities to install fast charging points near the country’s main roads. And the Vilnius-Kaunas-Klaipėda highway, which generates the largest traffic flows, is such a place. Therefore, we are happy with the contract with the Via Baltica hotel-restaurant, near which the charging station will be useful both for the residents of Kaunas and for residents of other cities traveling in the direction of the coast,” says Tomas Žilionis, head of the Enefit public charging network.

320 kW chargers allow you to charge a vehicle for a 100 km trip in just 5-8 minutes, depending on its model and battery capacity.

In addition, T. Žilionis emphasizes that this is not an ordinary project, and it will take more than a year to implement. It will be one of the first charging areas for Enefit Volt electric cars developed in the Baltic States and Poland, characterized not only by charging power, but also by a special design – in the special canopies of the recreation area, which provide shelter from rain or heat, it is planned to install solar power plants that generate electricity in real time in time will be used to charge electric cars.

“More and more of our guests are arriving in electric cars, so we are happy to be able to offer them the opportunity to charge them quickly and conveniently. The partnership with “Enefit” is an important step for us, which will allow us to become an even bigger center of attraction not only for Kaunas, but also for all electric car drivers traveling on the Vilnius-Kaunas-Klaipėda road”, says Vytas Čičelis, manager of Hotel “Via Baltica” located in Kumpiai village of Kaunas district.

The company “Enefit”, which is carrying out intensive development of the public charging network, recently also installed ultra-fast charging stations in Klaipėda and Vilnius, and T. Žilionis notes that the first such stations are just the beginning. This year alone, 25 ultra-fast charging stations with a capacity of more than 240 kW are planned to be installed throughout Lithuania. They will be able to charge up to 50 electric cars at the same time.

Until 2026 the size of the Enefit Volt network will increase to 1,000 stations by the end of Currently, the company is installing 250 stations near the stores of the Norfa trade chain, and cooperation with the car wash chains H2Auto and Smart Wash has also started, where Enefit Volt fast charging stations are also sprouting up.
