Workers in Egypt, whether in ministries or government departments, public authorities, business sector companies, the public sector, or the private sector, are looking for a date for the July 23 vacation this year to get another rest following returning from the last Eid al-Adha vacation.
“Masrawy” monitors the date of the leave and the entities that will obtain it in the government and the private sector as follows:
First: the government
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly issued a decision that next Saturday, July 23, 2022, will be an official paid leave for workers in ministries, government departments, public bodies, local administration units, public sector companies, public business sector companies and the private sector, on the occasion of July 23 Revolution Day.
Second: the private sector
Mohamed Saafan, Minister of Manpower, announced that next Saturday will be an official paid holiday for workers addressed by the provisions of Labor Law No. 12 of 2003, on the occasion of the glorious July 23 Revolution Day.
This comes in light of the Prime Minister’s decision in this regard to determine the glorious July Revolution holiday in ministries, government departments, public bodies, local administration units, public sector companies, public business sector companies and the private sector.
The minister clarified that the employer may employ the worker on this day, if the working conditions so require, and the worker in this case is entitled, in addition to his wage for this day, twice this wage.
