Apple today announced a new generation of iPad Air, basically maintaining the appearance of the original iPad Air while strengthening its interior. The most important thing is to upgrade the M1 chip. Its 8-core processor and 8-core GPU are claimed to provide 60% performance improvement and 2x display performance. It is still equipped with an anti-reflective Liquid Retina Display panel with a maximum brightness of 500 nits.

Other upgraded specifications are mainly that the front lens has been increased from 7MP to 12MP, and it is an ultra-wide angle, which allows it to use Center Stage technology to adjust the cropping of the picture according to the scene. USB-C is also twice as fast on the iPad Air, and the body is made of 100% recycled aluminum.

The iPad Air is available in space gray, starlight, pink, purple, and blue. The storage space can be selected from 64GB or 256GB. The prices of the two are NT$17,900 / HK$4,799 and NT$22,900 / HK$5,999 respectively. In addition to the WiFi version, it can also Optional 5G version. The iPad Air is available for pre-order this Friday in Hong Kong and will be available on March 18, while in Taiwan it is a “launch date, stay tuned.”
