Remigio Ceballos, vice president of the Citizen Security sector, said that they are continuing to search for five people who disappeared after the river rose.
Ceballos indicated through his X account (formerly Twitter) that the rainfall flooded several roads and affected dozens of homes in the sectors of La Fragua, the Blanco neighborhood, José Antonio de Sucre Avenue, Las Tinajitas, Trinchera, Los Cedros and Palenque.
Venezuela’s National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC) reported on Tuesday, July 2, that it had lifted the suspension of flights to Porlamar (Nueva Esparta), Cumaná and Carúpano (Sucre) that it had established due to Hurricane Beryl causing strong winds and storm surges.
