“Like several websites of companies from different segments in Venezuela, including social networks, Binance pages have been facing access restrictions only in Venezuela,” reads the text from the global cryptocurrency exchange company.

On August 10, the NGO Foro Penal updated the number of people arrested in the context of post-election protests since July 29, reporting a total of 1,303 detainees as of 8:00 a.m., of whom 116 are teenagers.

The organization published the update of the numbers on its X account, warning that, of this figure, at least 14 apprehensions of indigenous people, 16 people with disabilities and 170 women have been verified.

On August 10, the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD) denounced that political persecution “at inhuman levels” has been unleashed in Venezuela following the July 28 elections, in which the National Electoral Council (CNE) proclaimed Nicolás Maduro the winner.

“In recent days, repression and political persecution have reached inhuman and critical levels, with dozens of teenagers and hundreds of women and men being kidnapped for expressing their desire for change and a better future,” the bloc warned through X.

The coalition was referring to the more than 2,400 arrests that, according to the Executive, have been made in the last 13 days in the context of post-election protests, as well as in police and military operations on public roads and searches for people in their homes.

On August 10, the airline Voepass revealed the names of the 62 fatal victims of the plane crash that occurred in a residential area of ​​the Vinhedo municipality in São Paulo, Brazil, among whom were three Venezuelans.

The Venezuelan victims were identified as Josgleidys González, her mother, María Parra, and her son, Joslan Pérez, aged 4.

According to neighbors of the Venezuelan family in the city of Cascavel, the three embarked for São Paulo, where they would board a flight to return to Venezuela after several months of residence in Brazil.
