Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The issue of the transfer of the Polish striker to Bayern Munich, Robert Lewandowski, to FC Barcelona witnessed a new development, as the Italian journalist specializing in player transfers, Fabrizio Romano, confirmed that the player had made two contacts with the coach of the Spanish team, Xavi Hernandez.
Romano said on his official page on Twitter: “Robert Lewandowski has contacted Xavi twice, the plan is still clear and a contract that extends until 2025 has been discussed, it is up to the two clubs now.”
And the Italian journalist added, “There are no negotiations with any other club until the moment. The player considers Barcelona a priority for him,” according to Romano.
It is noteworthy that Lewandowski had explicitly announced his desire to leave the team at the end of the current season, while the two managements insisted on staying until the end of his contract in 2023.
