Discovered at the beginning of 2021, Militiaman immediately intrigued us. The goal of the game seems to be to escape a city, watched over by a giant police officer. But the twist is that we can try to make friends. Initially, we were supposed to be able to use the microphone to communicate with him and the residents, but with this new video published two days ago, we have the impression that the developers have returned to something simpler: choices of expressions, allowing the discussion to be guided. And if we had categorized the game as a walking sim two years ago, it would seem that we are rather in the presence of an immersive sim. Certainly, there is no firstno fighting, but the problems seem like they might be solved in different ways.
Graphically, it’s quite nice, and the movements seem very fluid. We almost regret the length of the video, which seems to reveal a little too much. In any case, the concept is interesting and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
