NEWS From Les Mureaux Seine&Vexin

An information meeting was offered to parents of pupils on the theme ” The role of parents in the school » at the Espace des Habitants in Les Mureaux.

It was the President of the Departmental Delegates of National Education (DDEN) of Yvelines (78), Mr. Jean-Pierre Bonin, former head of establishment in the town of Les Mureaux, who opened this meeting.

It is moreover the DDEN, the National Education Inspectorate of Les Mureaux, the parents’ federations and the town of Les Mureaux which prepared this meeting.

Forty parents came to attend.

This meeting was a time for presentations and exchanges with Mrs. Ebode, National Education Inspector (IEN), with representatives of the Yvelines parents’ federations of the FCPE and the PEEP, with the Departmental Delegates of National Education for the districts of Meulan and Mureaux. The latter are 7 for a territory that has 54 schools.

This meeting was divided into 5 parts. Firstly, Mrs Ebode presented The education system and the role of parents in the School of the Republic.

In a second time, there was the presentation of the roles and organizations of the Federations of Parents of Students of Yvelines by themselves. Indeed, Mr. Mikael Tane, departmental vice-president 78 of the Federation of Parents’ Councils (FCPE) and his local representative, Mrs. Nadia Moolkea, as well as Mrs. Manuela Afonso, departmental president 78 of the Parents’ Public Education (PEEP), were present to define their roles.

Following the Federations of Parents of Students, Mr. Bonin took the floor once more to present the mission in the School of DDEN in the third part of the meeting. Then, for the fourth time, he gave the floor to Ms. Angela Klein, deputy mayor responsible for education in the town of Les Mureaux.

For Mr. Bonin, the parents had a presentation of all the actors involved in the School of the Republic.
