News about Michel Aoun granting Lebanese citizenship to the daughter of Qassem Soleimani

On Monday, it was reported that the Lebanese nationality had been granted to Zainab Soleimani, the daughter of the former Quds Force commander, Qassem Soleimani, by a dramatic decision by Lebanese President Michel Aoun.

Lebanese activists said on the communication sites that countries grant citizenship to scientists, artists and doctors, and not to the daughter of a person classified as a terrorist in more than one country.

For its part, the Lebanese presidency denied this news, saying that it was unfounded.

The wife of the son of the second man in Hezbollah

It is noteworthy that Soleimani’s daughter is married to Reza Safi al-Din, son of Hashem Safi al-Din, the second man in the Hezbollah militia.

The name of Abdullah Safi al-Din, the representative of the Hezbollah militia in Iran, and nicknamed “The Ghost” has been mentioned repeatedly in reports related to drug smuggling in the world, especially within a triangle called “Iran, Lebanon, Venezuela”, according to the Persian-language Kayhan London newspaper.

First media appearance

Soleimani’s daughter appeared in the media for the first time following her father’s death, in January 2020, when she visited Lebanon to attend a memorial ceremony for her father held by the Hezbollah militia, and met Nasrallah, who demanded that he avenge the blood of the late Quds Force commander.

Soleimani’s daughter speaks English and Arabic fluently, especially in the Lebanese dialect, which is evidence of her long presence in Lebanon before her marriage, or at least the existence of a close relationship with members of the Hezbollah militia.
