Al-Bunyan holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in 1987, and a master’s degree in industrial management in 1996. He also received several specialized scientific courses in executive management.
Practical experience
Al-Benyan holds many positions, most notably the Chairman of the Board of Directors of SABIC Agro-Nutrients Company, SABIC Investment and Local Content Development Company, the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA), in addition to the Petrochemical Manufacturers Committee, membership of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Tadawul Group, and the Saudi Information Technology Company “SITE”. .
Al-Bunyan has a resume that is not short at the job level, as he held the position of Executive Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of the company. In 2013, he assumed the position of CEO of the Chemicals Strategic Business Unit at SABIC, and in 2020 was appointed as President of the B20 Business Group of the Group of Twenty.
Al-Bunyan chaired the boards of a number of companies, including “Yanbu” for Petrochemicals, “Jubail” for Chemicals, and the Saudi Iron and Steel Company, in addition to membership in a number of boards of directors and committees, including the Board of Directors of the National Program for the Development of Industrial Clusters, and the Executive Committee of the Riyadh Economic Forum in the Chamber.
