News 24 | Within one week… Health: More than 1,200 violations were seized in dental clinics

The Ministry of Health said that its compliance teams seized 1,231 health violations in 833 dental clinics in all regions.

The ministry indicated that the teams carried out 2,292 visits during the period from 10-17 April, indicating that the seized violations included 460 violations of deficiencies in infection control, sterilization and safe disposal of medical waste.

It added that 360 violations of not having a list of doctors’ names and their privileges in a prominent place were seized, 208 violations of practicing the health profession without a regular license, 117 violations of using unlicensed devices and products, and 86 violations of exceeding dental competence.

The Ministry stressed the need to adhere to health requirements in order to preserve the health and safety of patients, and to avoid penalties of up to a fine of 300,000 riyals, closing the facility, withdrawing the license of the institution and the health practitioner, and banning it for a period of up to two years.
