News 24 | The Transport Authority approves the uniforms for male and female taxi drivers and passenger transport applications

Today (Wednesday), the Public Transport Authority announced the uniforms for drivers of public fare, airport fare and special fare, as well as drivers of passenger transport applications.

She explained that the driver adheres to the national dress or shirt and long pants, while taxi drivers are only required to wear a long-sleeved shirt and gray color, pants and a black belt with an identification card, with the possibility of adding a jacket or coat as needed.

She pointed out that the dress code for women is to wear an abaya or a long shirt and pants with a jacket or coat.

And she indicated that the decision will be implemented as of next July 12, and it will be a prerequisite for practicing these activities in accordance with the provisions of the regulations governing the activity of the fare, the fare broker and the direction.

She noted that adhering to the custom uniform will contribute to strengthening the authority’s development efforts aimed at improving the quality of services in transport activities in general, and in fare and guidance in particular.
