News 24 | The top 10 e-services provided by health free of charge to citizens

The Ministry of Health offers many free electronic services, with the aim of facilitating and speeding up service provision, saving the time and effort of those targeted with it, and working on their comfort.

The Ministry also provides, through its electronic platforms, services that take care of the health of citizens of all age groups, to help them live in an appropriate healthy environment.

In this report, we highlight the top 10 e-services provided by the Ministry of Health to citizens:

1- Inquiry regarding requests for treatment abroad

This service enables the user to follow up on the status of his treatment submitted to the General Administration of Medical Bodies and Health Attaches Abroad, by public and local medical authorities, health attaches abroad, or other entities.

It includes inquiries regarding the status of requests for treatment abroad, its approval, or its extension, and requests for treatment in reference hospitals for non-Saudis inside the Kingdom.

2- Medical examination before marriage

The purpose of examining people who are regarding to marry is to find out the presence of some genetic blood diseases and some infectious diseases.

It also helps to give medical advice regarding the possibility of transmitting these diseases to the other party in the marriage or children in the future, and to choose appropriate alternatives in front of the fiancés.

3- Calculate the appropriate date for conception

This service is provided to help the woman take care of her health to ensure an easy pregnancy free of complications and a healthy baby, God willing.

4- Psychological care service “Green”

The “Qaribeen” application aims to provide psychological textual consultations supervised by a specialized staff, and represents an integrated library that contains endless information on mental health with the latest modern methods and methods, such as textual materials, infographics, and visual content.

5- “Appointment” service

“Mawd” application aims to enable the patient and the service recipient to book his appointments in primary health care centers in coordination with the appointments department, where the application books, amends, or cancels the appointment in any hospital to which the patient is referred.

6- Sick leave service

This service allows sharing the sick leave report electronically with the relevant authorities represented by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Interior, the Specialization Authority, and the Ministry of Civil Service. The sick leave report is also shared with the final beneficiary – the individual – electronically, through text messages and the printing feature through the portal .

7- Notification service for children’s vaccinations dates

The Ministry has established this service to remind parents of the dates of basic vaccinations once morest the diseases targeted by immunization according to the new vaccination schedule. A reminder message of the date of vaccination is sent to the mobile phone or e-mail one week before the date of the child’s vaccination.

8- Test for eating disorders

This service is provided through several questions that the target must answer in order to obtain a number of tips that help him solve his problem with eating disorders.

9- Eye test

This application can be installed on smart devices to measure visual acuity, but it is not a substitute for the measurement of vision that is done in eye clinics, and the evidence for the accuracy of smart device applications in measuring visual acuity is still limited, and there is not yet any accurate application.

10- Pre-diabetes risk test

This service aims to avoid the risk stage of diabetes, by submitting several questions related to weight, exercise and high blood sugar level to obtain advice that helps you make the necessary decision, by visiting a doctor or home treatment.
