The early detection of colorectal cancer and early detection of breast cancer programs recorded an increase in the percentage of completion for male and female subjects during 2022 AD.

The Ministry of Health confirmed that the Colorectal Cancer Early Detection Program in the General Administration of Health Programs and Chronic Diseases has achieved an increase in the achievement rate of those screened in early detection of colorectal cancer from the annual goal, using the faecal immunochemical examination.

She added that the examination targets community members aged 45-75 years, men and women, and covers all regions, governorates and health clusters, and since the beginning of 2022 AD, the current value of the number of examinees has reached 27,059, and this achievement is linked to a national strategy, through its strategic objective of strengthening prevention once morest health risks, Reducing the incidence of non-communicable diseases and reducing the deaths caused by them by improving the value obtained from health services, and facilitating access to the service.

She pointed out that the Breast Cancer Early Detection Program recorded an increase in the percentage of achievement of female examinations in early detection of breast cancer from the annual goal, using the mammogram device, as it targets women aged 40-69 years who do not have any symptoms of breast cancer, and covers all regions, governorates and gatherings. Since the beginning of 2022 AD, the current value of the number of women examined has reached 59,633, and a number of government agencies have contributed to this achievement, in addition to the private sector providing the service for early detection of breast cancer.
