The Kingdom’s embassy in the Republic of Sri Lanka issued a statement regarding the current events in the country.
The embassy called on citizens wishing to travel to Sri Lanka to postpone travel there, in light of the current events of protests and demonstrations.
She called on citizens residing and present in Sri Lanka to take precautions, stay away from places of gatherings and demonstrations, and adhere to the instructions of the local authorities.
Over the past few days, Sri Lanka has witnessed widespread protests once morest the economic conditions in the country, which led to the flight of Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa from his official residence in the capital, Colombo.
