News 24 | The Food and Drug Administration clarifies the safety of some artificial sweeteners available in the market

The Food and Drug Authority responded to an inquiry regarding the safety of some artificial sweetener products that are traded in the market as organic products.

The authority stated that it had evaluated some commercial sweetener products, including stevia, aspartame, corn starch, and others, pointing out that it was proven through examination and evaluation that they are safe and do not pose a threat to human health.

She pointed out that the use of aluminum foil “tin” in cooking increases the chance of migration of the aluminum element into the food.
