The Red Sea Development Company announced today (Thursday) a successful test of landing and taking off on the main runway at Red Sea International Airport.

She explained that the airport’s navigational aids have been tested and activated, and take-off and landing on its runway have been tested.

The assistant director of health and safety at the airport project at the Red Sea Company, Mashael Al-Ashwan, confirmed that what has been achieved today is a resounding success, noting that the airport’s flight yard was delivered in record time, with a “zero time-wasting accident rate.”

The Assistant Director-General for Airport Infrastructure Projects, Ammar Ghaith, said that the flight test is one of the requirements for operating the airport, and it is usually repeated every 6 months to inspect the private airport systems.
