News 24 | The Central Bank decides to restore the service of opening bank accounts remotely and raises the limit of daily transfers to customers

Today (Tuesday), the Saudi Central Bank announced updating the instructions for temporary precautionary measures to protect bank customers from financial fraud.

The bank clarified that the update included raising the daily transfer limit for bank customers to the levels they were previously, and the customer may reduce that limit by communicating with the bank.

He added that the update also included the possibility of providing the service of opening bank accounts remotely (online), according to the regular procedures, provided that the updated instructions are implemented starting today (Tuesday).

The Central Bank urged bank customers to take precautions and beware of fraudulent operations, and not to be negligent in disclosing bank and personal data, such as secret numbers and verification codes for any person or entity, with the importance of ensuring the reliability of the websites they deal with.
