King Saud Medical City clarified the importance of phosphorous mineral for the body, the natural sources of obtaining it and the harms of excessive consumption.
The city indicated that phosphorous helps build strong bones and teeth, pointing out that its natural sources are dairy products, fish, oats, red meat, and brown rice.
And she warned that taking high doses of phosphorous leads to diarrhea or stomach pain, in addition to reducing the amount of calcium in the body, which means that the bones are more likely to break.
